Export Control Classifications

Subject: Export Control Classifications

To all our Valued Customers:

On December 30, 2014, the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce amended the export control classifications for different categories of equipment as part of the Export Control Reform Initiative. Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp, a manufacturer of aviation test equipment, has changed the export control classifications of their equipment to conform to these new regulations.



Effective immediately, the following test equipment models manufactured and serviced by Tel-Instrument have the following new export control classifications:

With these new classifications, there are no changes to existing export licenses and all provisos and restrictions that were issued with the original license will remain in effect. It is the responsibility of the test set owner to confirm these new classifications with their appropriate empowered official or subject matter specialist and ensure that all State and Commerce Department rules and regulations are strictly adhered to.

Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp is not responsible for any item shipped to its facility without proper authorization or documentation.

Failure to properly follow State and Commerce Department regulations can result in confiscation of the equipment during shipment, the inability of Tel-Instrument to return the equipment, possible fines and/or administrative penalties.
